The name “UNION” County actually relates to how the county was created.  The county was created by the Kentucky General Assembly in 1811 from portions of Henderson and Webster Counties, and thus, the name “Union” was used for this formation

New operator at Clements Academy; job openings announced

Union County will join six other counties on October 3-5 for the Third Annual Highway 60 Yard Sale that will stretch 175 miles from Muldraugh through Marion

Management and Training Corporation (MTC) will begin operating the Earle C. Clements Job Corps Academy in Morganfield on November 1.

The firm, based in Centerville, Utah is seeking to immediately fill 20 open positions at the Clements Academy.

Those positions are:

Accounting Clerk; Student Incentive Coordinator; Center Duty Officer; Cook; Cook Helper; Groundskeeper; Custodian; Residential Advisor; and Human Resource Specialist.

Also, Security Officer; Driver; LPN; CTR Specialist; CPP Instructor; Drivers’ Education Instructor; Records Clerk; CTT Welding Instructor; Receptionist; and CTT Culinary Arts Instructor.
